SALVATION MOUNTAIN

One of my favorite traditions during thanksgiving break is one that started about three years ago.

Carlos, Jacob (our best friend) and I, every thanksgiving we take a little road trip.

The first year we went to Julian and had some AMAZING apple pie!

The second year we went to mount laguna and watched the stars.

So this year we went to Salvation Mountain.

(Our best friend Jacob)

Salvation Mountain was build by Leonard Knight. The mountain was created as a tribute to God, the message is simple “God is love”. The amazing thing about this place is the fact that it was all handmade out of clay and donated paint, which is how it can stay so vibrant and beautiful.

People all over the US come to see this piece of art that is a testimony of someone’s love for God and his wanting to share that gift with the world.

The trip from San Diego was a couple of ours, but well worth the drive to see.
